Products include pneumatic systems/components and kinetic switches designed for Lockheed Martin F35(JSF), F16, F18, General Atomics Predator(MQ9), Boeing Multi-Mission Aircraft (P8A), Raytheon Standard Missile, and Lockheed Martin missiles.

CIRCOR Aerospace products are utilized in nearly all commercial and military aircraft, commercial and military helicopters, busines jets, and missiles.

JOB FUNCTION

The Technical Sales Administrator is an integral part of the sales team and is responsible for pre and post customer service sales support of CIRCOR Aerospace products. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the Technical Sales Administrator is the focal point for regular customer communication, both external and internal, and accountability for current and new customers. The position is assigned various tasks to improve levels of customer satisfaction, including quote/proposal generation and management, customer business portal management, export compliance, order entry, contract review, order acknowledgements, and field sales support.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Acts as the liaison between the customers and associated departments within the Hauppauge, NY facility.
  • Completes data entry sales orders; information which is used by all departments and effectively communicates special requirements and/or processes to the appropriate departments.
  • Support the preparation of proposals and government bids including engineering requirements, purchasing terms and conditions, and quality systems requirements.
  • Consult with all departments about customer issues, potential business, delivery issues, and pricing.
  • Coordinates with internal department to resolve any customer issues.
  • Prepare correspondence regarding quotes, orders, and information relating to sales and engineering decisions.
  • Regularly communicates with existing customer base to strengthen relationships. Investigates and addresses any customer concerns and explores potential for new applications and future business.
  • Participates in meetings to stay apprised of new developments within the group and communicates meeting minutes to team members.
  • Supports new business development activities and associated bookings
  • Reviews PO’s for accuracy, terms and conditions, delivery requirements, etc.

  • Proven track record of success in sale support working with key OEM’s and/or Tier 2 customer within the aerospace & defense markets
  • Strong customer service skills including the ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple sales opportunities
  • Must have strong writing, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both with customers and internally
  • Must be a team player and have effective communication, interpersonal and team building skills, and able to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment
  • Knowledge and experience of export compliance (ITAR/EAR); industry-specific requirements/standards
  • Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access, and other applicable tools
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and impact change
  • Participative management style – advocates team concept
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with people of diverse backgrounds, experience, and personalities.
  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive – but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Inside Sales/Marketing preferred
  • 10 plus years of progressive inside sales, customer service, and/or contracts admin in aerospace, defense, or related market space
