Job Summary:
Reviews subdivision plats and site plans for commercial, industrial and institutional projects for compliance with all applicable land development regulations, interlocal agreements and the County’s Comprehensive Plan. Reviews rezoning, and conditional use applications for compliance with Land Development Regulations. Reviews small-scale and large-scale map and text amendment applications for compliance with Comprehensive Plan. Conducts site inspections as necessary. Updates the goals, objectives and policies of the Comprehensive Plan as needed; updates data inventory and analysis of Comprehensive Plan elements; performs GIS analysis of Comprehensive Plan data. Reviews requests for public hearings; presents before elected and advisory Boards. Creates maps using Geographic Information Systems software for internal and external customers. Attends meetings with staff members, permit applicants and development/design professionals to review and make proposals regarding past, current and future projects and land use. Prepares and distributes staff reports with appropriate factual findings, justification and recommendations for amendments to current land development regulations; presents recommendations to Advisory Boards and the Board and Board of County Commissioners as required. May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Transportation, Engineering or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience, specifically transportation planning, design, civil engineering or a related field. Requires a valid Florida driver's license. __

Pay: $46,300.80 - $74,089.60 per year
