Senior Manager, IT Commercial Systems

Job Summary:

Serves as critical single point of contact between CommercialOps and CSI IT to ensure alignment, productivity, and effectiveness every day on commercial systems projects, enhancements, and operations. Manages the enterprise-wide, business critical integration points, collaboration, and governance between CommercialOps and CSI IT’s commercial-related systems, data & analytics and technology initiatives and operations, globally.

Essential Functons:

  • Partnering with CommercialOps, establishes and manages the Commercial IT Portfolio of projects under the emerging IT Portfolio Management process.
  • In conjunction with CommercialOps, ensures that all technology selections, architectures, and roadmaps align with the larger CSI IT strategies, LRSP, enterprise architectures and standards.
  • Critical interface between CSI IT transformation programs such as CONNECT, EDM and DNA and CommercialOps.
  • Leads the delivery of IT-side capabilities that provide foundational/enabling capabilities in support of commercial systems (e.g. environments, utilities, cloud services) evolution and global deployment.
  • Provides technology leadership and commercial expertise to B2C and B2B integrations and interoperability to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Guides CommercialOps development teams through the standard IT processes and change control ensuring business continuity and ITGC/Regulatory compliance to ensure quality project, enhancement, and production support delivery.
  • In the future, expected to manage a team of business analysts and technical resources as well as third-party system and technology partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, business, or financial discipline.
  • PMP or Agile delivery certifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Master) a strong plus.
  • 10+ years direct work experience in commercially-oriented business and/or information technology roles.
  • 10+ years experience directly working in or supporting Sales, Marketing and/or CommercialOps functions.
  • Demonstrated progression of increasing responsibilities and business impact.
  • Life sciences industry experience is preferred.
  • Consulting experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience in the selection, design, implementation, and support of commercial systems including CRM, eCommerce, Customer Master Data Management, Territory and Roster Management, Marketing Cloud, etc.
  • Experience implementing business intelligence capabilities that improve and speed commercial decision making.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial processes, data and systems that will ensure the candidate is credible as a subject matter expert who quickly earns the respect of the commercial leadership and teams.
  • Experience managing resources and delivering commercial system capabilities in global context.
  • Proven ability to work effectively at all levels of commercial and information technology organizations.
  • Strong bias toward action and delivering measurable results.
  • Self-starter that works effectively remotely and independently.
  • 25 to 35% travel per month to Trumbull or other CSI locations including CA, AZ, and Canada

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $190,000 and $210,000. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
