The Workforce Management team is responsible to lead Citi’s transformation efforts around staffing and skill adequacy and organization design. It is an exciting time to join the team as we are newly formed and in the building phase of developing the set of capabilities, processes, and tools to analyze, forecast, organize and plan for the future of the workforce. The Workforce Management function is comprised of three pillars: (1) Workforce Planning, (2) Organization Design and (3) PMO and Risk & controls. This role is part of the Workforce Planning team and is responsible for implementing the transformation around how Citi manages resource needs, connecting headcount with financial planning processes and talent acquisition planning and assessing demand and supply and any associated resource risks. You will the partnership with the business and/or functions as a trusted partner and workforce subject matter expert. You will be responsible for driving the implementation of the approach to resource planning for Citi. You will be a key player in embedding the resource planning processes across the organization and champion change efforts across key stakeholders in HR, Finance and the business. As part of the Workforce Planning leadership team, you will partner to drive a team culture as we stand up a new capability at Citi and offer thought leadership on Workforce Management and process design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver smooth and on-time implementation of workforce management capabilities and partner to ensure the on-time delivery of regulatory commitments regarding resource management
  • Be a trusted advisor to senior leaders in the businesses/functions to include a tight partnership with senior human resource officers, COO leadership and CAO leadership by engaging them regularly, participating in their staff meetings and ensuring bi-directional consistent communications
  • Lead with influence to drive resolution, overcome objections and foster win-win outcomes with our partners
  • Own the relationship and communications to the businesses / functions and partner with the workforce leaders on new process launches
  • Foster and share feedback from the businesses/functions with all 3 workforce planning pillars of work and organizational design
  • Deeply understand and stay abreast of all workforce management initiatives and provide feedback on the design of workforce processes
  • Be a visible leader on the workforce team and aid the professionalizing and culture building of the new organization
  • Inform the corporate standard for demand & capacity, strategic skills and resource planning and partner with and influence business/function stakeholders to adjust forecasting and headcount planning process to align to the corporate standard

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant experience to include workforce planning, resource planning, strategic skills planning and/or demand and capacity planning, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Ability to understand, marshal and interpret a wide range of information, ideas and concepts, draw conclusions, and make recommendations
  • Demonstrated experience of presenting complex ideas, data and analysis in a visually accessible way, ability to draft presentations and documentations to communicate key conclusions and complex issues to senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable to work with ambiguity and managing high-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Intellectually strong with a growth mindset, with a proactive can-do attitude to project delivery and “get things done” in a tight deadline
  • Strong analytical skills with good attention to details, while keeping focus on the big picture; able to connect the dots across multiple pieces of work.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills demonstrating cross-cultural understanding and knowledge across multiple geographic locations.

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred and managerial experience
