POSTION SUMMARY

Tubelite Inc., a division of Apogee Enterprises, Inc (APOG, a public company), is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Storefront and Finishing Solutions business. We create distinctive metal and glass solutions for commercial buildings and customers across the US and Canada. The position preference is as a hybrid position in one of the following locations: Minneapolis MN, Wausau WI, Dallas TX, or Grand Rapids MI. and other candidates may be considered.

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for proactively transforming reporting, planning, and analytics function across the Store Front Solutions (SFS) business segment. The analysis you provide will enable decision-making for the business to allow for growth and improve profitability.

This role will partner with leaders, key stakeholders, and understand the financial business arena of SFS beyond financial data management, and contribute to successful financial business data outcomes with key players.

POSTION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support for the planning and forecasting process and ensure department managers have insight into spending and variances to project future spend.
• Administer and distribute monthly financial performance reports, supporting the management team to provide insight into the root cause of data variances.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret data trends and patterns in complex data sets.
• Present data with compelling visual stories, and reports to include actionable insights to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Maintain and integrate data from structured and unstructured data sets using modern data management.
• Identify, and execute process improvement opportunities.
• Support the monthly close process as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
• At least 3 years related work experience in Cost Accounting or Financial analysis required.
• Must have experience in communicating and presenting quantitative analysis in a clear and precise manner.
• Must have experience mining data and converting data into an understandable and effective product.
• Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, or Power BI preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in monthly financial closing and generating financial reports.
• Prior experience in SAP, BPC, or similar ERP/financial consolidating software is desired.
• Advanced excel skills required and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Mainly an office environment. The ability to travel for collaboration or participation in events occasionally required and may support other SFS locations as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk and hear. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
