The Opportunity
We have an excellent opportunity for a technician with engineering experience. We're looking for a qualified, technical individual with a strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills for a Senior Engineering Technician position in our Public Works Department. This position will perform complex and technical office and field engineering work in support of the Engineering Division to include preparing and reviewing technical drawings and maps, providing phone and counter support to contractors, developers, engineers, as well as the general public on engineering services and activities, and research maps and records. This position will also conduct and participate in field surveys of property and public works construction. The diversity of assignments will be both challenging and professionally rewarding for the ideal candidate. The successful incumbent will perform a wide variety of difficult and complex tasks and responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of technical engineering experience to include design, field survey, public works inspections, computer aided drafting, or traffic engineering assignments, and two years of college level coursework in drafting, trigonometry, engineering, surveying, computer science/CADD, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits
