Position Overview

The Infinity Innovation Team is seeking a qualified candidate to lead the systems engineering design, development, and delivery of the RAPTOR (RAPid Thread ORchestration) technology prototype to various USSF, USAF and other DoD and federal stakeholders. RAPTOR is a framework that integrates MBSE models with digital ecosystems and automates their interaction with analytical tools. The Senior Digital Systems Engineer role provides technical leadership and direction for the RAPTOR design, ensures customer needs and use cases are captured by requirements, guides verification planning and execution, and provides hands-on development of the prototype using SysML and standard MBSE tools. This position will also lead the definition of Digital Engineering (DE) related technical services that will be wrapped around the implementation of RAPTOR.

As an experienced digital systems engineer within Infinity’s Innovation team, this role will guide corporate strategy for MBSE training, services and investment to executive leaders, support the creation of innovation roadmaps for digital engineering, and support customer engagement on enhancing space warfighting with digital engineering frameworks, tools and methods.



Primary Responsibilities


  • Lead the systems engineering design, development, and delivery of the RAPTOR framework for digital threads to multiple USSF, USAF, and other DoD customers
  • Provide customer engagement throughout the RAPTOR development lifecycle; identify customer use cases, manage roadmaps for technology demonstration and prototypes, and build cross-cutting industry support and collaboration
  • Support the corporate innovation team with RAPTOR cost and schedule management and guide the budget planning for product roadmaps and new product proposals.
  • Provide technical leadership to innovate and design new ground-breaking technology in the areas of digital engineering, digital threads, and warfighting simulation.
  • Lead company-wide DE and other training initiatives including developing DE certification curriculum, defining course schedules, class participation, and instructor assignments to further company DE and other specialized skill competencies
  • Support corporate leaders on the strategic vision for implementing digital engineering processes, training, and investments to transform the Infinity culture and workforce.
  • Support the Infinity digital ecosystem and infrastructure through servicing and maintaining the tools and products deployed (Cameo, TWC, AFSIM, etc.)
  • Support new SBIR proposals, business development initiatives, and other corporate growth opportunities that evolves corporate digital engineering technology


Minimum Qualifications


  • Expert knowledge in Systems Engineering disciplines, including use case development, requirements management, detailed design, and verification and validation.
  • Knowledge of SysML, MBSE methods and tools such as Cameo, and overall Digital Engineering
  • Knowledge in creating executable MBSE models that integrate with analytical tools.
  • Ability to develop, model, and communicate mission Concepts of Operations and Use Cases with stakeholders
  • Experience with writing technical papers, white papers, and/or proposals.
  • Experience with training engineers in one-on-one and in group settings.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and prior involvement with SCRUM/Kanban/Agile teams
  • Ability to lead and collaborate positively in a team environment with people of different levels of experience and education and virtually in geographically disperse locations.
  • Ability to think critically to solve difficult problems and using digital tools and engineering methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications


  • Expert knowledge of SysML, MBSE methods and tools such as Cameo, and overall Digital Engineering
  • Expert knowledge in creating executable MBSE models that integrate with analytical tools.
  • Experience with common scripting languages (Javascript, Python, C++, MATLAB, etc.).
  • Experience performing analyses with Modeling and Simulation tools
  • Experience with requirements management systems such as DOORS
  • SCRUM Master training and/or direct experience working Agile programs


Education/Experience


Bachelor’s degree is technical field. Significant, directly applicable experience with a degree will be considered.

Engineering or aerospace background (desired).
