Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Digital Workplace team in delivering the best digital workplace experience for our employees around communication, collaboration and productivity. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented, able to work in a team environment and independently, and have the ability to solve complex problems. This is a remote, work-from-home position with occasional travel required.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze and document business strategy, user needs and business processes and translate business objectives into proper system requirement specifications for resolving issues, enhancements and projects, particularly, but not limited to, pre-boarding process and the employee intranet.
- Lead work with others in the IT and Human Resources organizations to evaluate and drive improvements to the technology and processes around pre-boarding.
- Collaborate with teams to implement and better use M365 platform and services and other productivity tools across the organization.
- Work closely with stakeholders to determine solutions, assess impact to existing work processes and systems, and pinpoint how to manage integrations when needed.
- Recommended solutions to improve the client experience, increase productivity and efficiency.
- Work with internal stakeholders to determine business requirements and priorities. Proactively maintain an understanding of the business processes.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Formulate and configure applications to meet business requirements and execute solutions that help business units achieve their strategic objectives.
- Test and track business requirements through implementation.
- Focus on continuous improvement for both the business process and the underlying technologies and system support.
- Interpret existing applications and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding and available IT solutions.
- Support business processes and automate work streams as appropriate.
- Take ownership of support activities for current functionality, new enhancements, system and integration testing, and user acceptance testing of completed issues and enhancements.
- Present technical solutions that enhance the value of our company's products and services.
- Update and maintain technical documentation.
- Provide new user training on supported applications as requested.
- Analyze business strategy and user needs, document specifications, and translate business objectives into proper system requirement specifications.
- Create process flow diagrams and execute a long-term roadmap and vision for the supported platforms.
- Manage the pre-boarding requests and processes, create dashboard for metrics and improve the processes.
- Guide internal customers through the upgrades and changes within the digital workplace suite of applications.
- Deliver value through realization of benefits, avoidance of cost, focus on continuous improvement, identification of new opportunities and modernizing the organization.
- Work closely with all IT organizations and drive projects to successful completion.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field (or equivalent years of experience, education and training)
- 4+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or IT Business Systems Analysis to include:
- Requirements definition
- Business process definition
- Strong documentation
- Development and support of integrated business applications
- Implementation and support of applications
- End-to-end IT coordination and support experience
Additional Qualifications
- Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar application
- Experience in an internal customer/employee support role
- Practical knowledge and experience in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts
- Experience in the operation and analysis of data
- Ability to envision process and application needs from business-user interactions
- Understanding of the organization's goals and objectives and how technology solutions impact the organization
