Job Summary:

Responsible for design, implementation, support and versioning of new and existing code for custom Atlas Oil applications. Enhance applications with a primary focus on integration, APIs, and data persistence. Perform enhancement and break-fix analysis on existing code and troubleshoot issues reported via end-users both internal and external to Atlas Oil. Provide design and support documentation in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with team members to provide seamless application delivery via coordination with front-end developers and system administrators. Work with the team leaders and other Information Systems groups to understand member usage, environments, features, track bugs and support the technical aspects of web-based Atlas applications. Representing the IT team, act as an ambassador in providing excellent customer service to the Atlas IT user community.

Primary Responsibilities and Scope:

  • Design, implement, manage and support internal and external applications with a primary focus on integration between systems.
  • Continue to support and extend applications throughout the company to support our environment and distributed workforce.
  • Understand user process flows to enable streamlined integration between applications.
  • Ability to design, implement, and publish APIs (REST, JSON, XML, etc.) to leverage custom corporate systems in a distributed cloud-based environment.
  • Design and expose customer-facing APIs to enable consumption of data by internal and external customers.
  • Perform application testing and quality assurance using industry leading processes
  • Perform software releases using established ITIL best practices
  • Resolve support issues and requests.
  • Develop secure code with scalability and reliability as a priority.
  • Actively participate in and influence discussions around integrations to apply consistent standards for all custom Atlas applications.
  • Must be comfortable working within a hybrid IT landscape while transitioning applications into the public cloud.
  • Interface directly with clients and project team members to understand the needs and objectives of the business.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality solutions and services to clients on schedule
  • Bring structure to ambiguous business problems and recommend integration solutions that can be seamlessly interpreted by users
  • Serve as end user support for the organizational user base
  • Sponsor teamwork and encourage collaboration
  • Skilled primarily in the back-end technologies with a preference towards the Microsoft development stack: C# Net, Azure, JSON, REST API, Azure AD, Git/GitHub, among others.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years .NET (C#) development experience
  • Minimum 5 years relational database experience using MS SQL Server
  • Strong competency designing, building, maintaining, and supporting REST APIs
  • Strong competency in the following tools: Visual Studio / VS Code, Azure DevOps, SSMS / Azure Data Studio, Git / GitHub
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud resource technologies
  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or similar BI development and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to read, digest and communicate complex subject matter to all levels
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing business demands
  • Ability to complete work within assigned deadlines
  • Ability to communicate across different levels of the business, e.g., developers, business analysts, sales team members, managers to C-level executives.
  • Flexibility to align work hours with business processes, e.g., after hours system deployments
