About the team
The Roku Content Merchandising team’s mission is to enable users to discover, acquire and engage with all the amazing content available across the Roku platform, including Roku’s own free, ad-supported service, The Roku Channel. We partner closely with teams across the company including Product, Engineering, Marketing and Operations to build and manage delightful and relevant experiences that leverage both algorithmic machine learning and editorial curation to make it easy for users to get the best entertainment experience possible from their Roku devices.
For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $64,000 and $194,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

About the role
Roku’s Content Merchandising team is seeking a highly collaborative, self starter to drive the merchandising strategy for Spanish language content across The Roku Channel’s US experience. This individual will partner closely with many teams, including Product, Engineering, Analytics, Content Acquisitions, Sales, Marketing and Operations to deliver an amazing experience for users on The Roku Channel.
The ideal candidate will understand how to evaluate data and make decisions based on those insights. In addition, they need sound editorial judgement developed through working with video content services and being an avid consumer of US-originating film and TV series. This individual should be able to project manage complex, cross functional campaigns and initiatives, and proactively develop creative solutions to difficult operational or content related problems.
This role will also contribute to the overall US merchandising strategy and roadmap—including the development of new product features and tooling. Experience working in internal publishing tools and having a foundational understanding of the US content ecosystem is required. Fluency in Spanish & English for both verbal and written communication are essential.
What you'll be doing
- Daily curation of ad-supported streaming experiences
- Develop and execute repeatable, scalable merchandising strategies to drive sustained engagement
- Optimize consumer experience based on evaluation of data and strong editorial judgement
- Partner with analytics to measure, test and optimize merchandising strategies
- Partner with Product and Engineering to build new support for improved merchandising capabilities, including Machine Learning (ML) and tooling enhancements
- Assess and communicate performance and learnings to key stakeholders
We're excited if you have
- 3+ years of content merchandising/editorial experience
- Fluency in Spanish, both verbal and written (Required)
- Proficiency in content analytics and able to make data-driven decisions that have actionable results
- Understanding of video streaming business models (AVOD, SVOD) and content consumption formats (VOD, Linear, Short/Long Form, etc.)
- In-depth experience working with content publishing tools (CMS)
- Experience working with metadata to inform machine learning or personalized algorithms
- An eye for visual language and content merchandising strategies
- Ability to multitask, juggling multiple time-sensitive projects and priorities simultaneously
- An ability to work cross-functionally with key stakeholders such as Business, Marketing, Product & Sales teams
- Capability to approach challenges with an organized, adaptable, and positive attitude
- Self-directed approach to be able to accomplish tasks without on-site manager
- Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends as needed
- A passion for content and knowledge of current streaming landscape
- Experience launching original content, a plus
- Knowledge of analytics (i.e., Looker and Tableau) and data management tools (ie. Airtable) a plus
