We currently have an opportunity to join our team of talented and diverse Faculty and Staff as a Senior Administrative Assistant.
Required Qualifications: This position requires an associate’s degree with emphasis in computer skills, business administration or a closely related field with a minimum of four (4) years related experience.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $16.83 with an approximate annual amount of $35,000.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support for Vice President of Academic Affairs, including coordinating office operations and assisting with budget preparation and monitoring. Keeps appointment calendars and schedules appointments; makes reservations and travel arrangements; receives and screens calls, providing advanced information, or referring callers to appropriate staff. Processes and distributes incoming departmental mail.
- Creates and completes departmental and college forms, types correspondence, reports, memos, contracts, schedules, manuals, documents requisitions, and related paperwork. Completes and submits purchase requisitions for supplies and materials; assists with accountability of purchases.
- Compiles information and data for periodic and special reports; performs research and retrieval of records; conducts statistical comparisons of information; sets up and maintains record system for area of responsibility. Gathers and submits as appropriate, information for payroll in a timely manner. Serves as leave designee.
- Attend departmental, staff and other professional meetings, as requested, to exchange information or take minutes. Serve as departmental liaison as directed by supervisor.
- Tracks, maintains, and reconciles budget information for assigned department; assists with annual budget preparation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, etc.), custom applications, computers and peripherals.
- Create and develop charts, graphs, summarize, tabulate, or format data or information and apply logical thinking to solve problems.
- Ability to read technical instructions, procedures manuals, charts to solve practical problems and compose routine and specialized reports, forms, and business letters.
- Perform clerical and technical tasks requiring a wide range of procedures.
- Work with minimal supervision while performing multiple tasks effectively/efficiently, as well as communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
