Summary of Job:

As an armed security guard professional for Xpress Guards, you will be responsible for the security and safety of our client's property, customers and personnel.

• Escort: Provide a safe and secure environment for our clients.
• Rover: Foot patrols, car patrol, incident reporting, touring/scanning sensors, enforcing rules, monitoring the perimeter, etc.
  
• CCTV: Monitoring surveillance cameras for suspicious activity or violations of rules.
• Front Desk: Safeguard access into building, check ID's and issue guard passes.
• Supervising: Managing the workflow on your shift, training new hires, oversee employees' performance, creating/updating staff schedules and covering shifts as needed.
• Emergency Lead: Handling emergency situations in a calm and proactive manner.
• Fire Watch: Patrol a property or business and identify fire hazards.

What You Will Do (varies per site):

• Provide customer service to our clients by following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner
• Patrol an assigned area on foot or in a vehicle to observe for signs of danger or criminal activity
• Report suspicious activity or occurrences to supervisors or law enforcement officials
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
• Check identification cards and badges to verify that they are valid
• Conduct security screenings at entrances to public/private facilities
• Direct traffic and enforcing laws at busy intersections or crowded events
• Monitor surveillance cameras for suspicious activity or violations of rules
• Control entry to premises using security devices such as metal detectors, X-ray machines, or explosive detectors
• Issue verbal warnings, make arrests (if applicable) and/or contact law enforcement for security violations or criminal activity
  
• Working environments and conditions may vary by client site

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum High School Diploma / GED Equivalent

What You Will Need:

• Active State of California Guard Card andExposed Firearm Permit
• Must own firearm and duty belt
  

• Clearly communicate in English (speak, read and write)
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service

• Must be capable of performing all physical requirements to include standing, walking, and sitting
• Pass an extensive background check (criminal record, driving record, drug testing etc.)

Preferred Experience:

• Prior Military, Law Enforcement or Current TCole/TCleose Certificate
