Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Scheduler role was designed to focus primarily on the scheduling of guards.
- Make a schedule at least 2 weeks in advance, scheduling the appropriate guards to the appropriate client sites.
- Continually viewing the schedule, and updating the schedule as needed if guards no longer are employed, are removed by management from certain sites, have been termed from CGS, and such.
- You will work closely with the Call Center and with the Operation Deputies (OD) to fill last-minute vacant shifts. You are not expected to be on call 24/7 to fill shifts that open when you are not working. This is a team effort, with the expectation that you will do the largest portion of the planned scheduling and a large portion of filling vacant shifts that occur after the schedule is posted
- You will schedule new hires on the day of their first training unless there is a reason they could not be scheduled.
- You will work closely with the National Support Office (NSO), specifically recruiting which monitors the new hires from time of hire, when they are scheduled, and for about 1-2 weeks after to make sure they are being scheduled and if they are not, that it is properly documented. You will also work with the NSO Operations analyst. They can provide a breakdown of hours, OT hours, vacant hours, etc...
- If you have the schedule taken care of, you may be asked to assist with other Ops items to help the team. This could include items such as interviewing new hires. Any additional roles will not supersede the schedule.
