Position Overview and Responsibilities:
LinQuest has an immediate opening for mid to senior level Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) candidate to provide acquisition execution and systems engineering support for the Wide Field of View (WFOV)/ Infra Red (IR) Tracking Program.
- Provide technical expertise to government program managers on a single satellite vendor design.
- Offer a blend of program management for the Tracking Layer acquisition and systems engineering support as the Tracking Layer integrates into the rest of the SDA architecture.
- Review designs, test procedures and provide feedback and recommendations to ensure the vendor’s satellites will meet SDA’s architecture needs.
- Provide program management support during formal technical reviews, engineering review boards and other similar events.
- Analyzing Warfighter requirements and providing recommendations based on scientific and engineering, hardware, and software technical baselines.
- Providing recommendations on systems integration and engineering baseline changes and assessing the technical maturity and risk of development projects.
- Assisting the Government team on potential solutions across a wide variety of multi-domain, tactical, and mission area applications.
- Assisting the Government team with monitoring and assessment of OPIR sensor approaches for high velocity targets.
- Reviewing contractor hardware and algorithmic designs for sensor collection.
- Reviewing and contributing to ground based data processing of sensor data.
- Assessing and integrating engineering activities across multiple projects and multiple program areas.
- Recommending and coordinating development with related activities of other DoD and non-DoD agencies.
- Assisting with analysis of the design, assembly, integration and testing, and data reduction of proposed technical solutions and formulating evaluation criteria of those solutions.
- Distilling and communicating technically complex information and analysis and recommending solutions to the program management team on proposed projects for feasibility and applicability to relevant military mission areas and related activities.
- Preparing, reviewing, and editing reports and briefings.
- Participating in risk identification and formulating mitigation plans for contractor project activities.
- Attending project meetings and reviews to include technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and program management reviews.
- Assisting the Government in analyzing contractor concept designs at the system and subsystem levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering and math
- Minimum of 8 years experience with satellite ground systems
- Top Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Compensation
- Starting salary ranges from $170,000 to $190,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
