Job Description

East Kentucky Metal Sales, Inc. is hiring a full-time sales representative to join its team of experienced trade professionals. Candidates must have strong communication skills and make customers feel welcome both in our showroom and on the telephone. Sales representatives are responsible for identifying the customers’ needs, educating customers about available products and services, recommending solutions, and ensuring the customer has the products and tools needed to complete their metal project.

*On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

· Greeting and assisting customers in our showroom, as well as via telephone and email

· Educating and guiding customers regarding their projects

· Providing accurate information regarding project specifications to customers and manufacturing warehouse

· Managing delivery of product between customers and manufacturing warehouse

· Fostering long-term customer relationships

· “Warm calling” customers from website and telephone leads

· Lift medium and heavy boxes and materials

Skills & Education

· High school or equivalent

· Experience in construction or building materials (strongly preferred)

· Computer and point of sale system experience (strongly preferred)

· Strong communication skills with ability to actively listen, guide projects, and foster long-term customer relationships

· Self-motivated, adaptable, works well with a team and is able to adapt and be flexible

· $15-$17 per hour, depending on experience, with overtime potential

Schedule

· 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday – Friday, with 1-hour lunch break (30 minutes paid)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
