Midnight Mulligan Brewing – Sales Representative

Midnight Mulligan Brewing is a young and growing brewery located in the West End of Charlotte, NC, that is looking to rapidly expand its distribution efforts. Midnight Mulligan Brewing is currently looking for full-time Sales Representatives to join our small but dedicated team! As a Sales Representative, you will represent Midnight Mulligan Brewing throughout Mecklenburg County and surrounding territories.

In this role, you will be responsible for servicing existing retailer relationships as well as establishing new retail accounts to increase brand presence and expand product distribution. You will also be responsible for coordinating promotional events and festivals and representing company at same.

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Understand and convey Midnight Mulligan Brewing’s brand messaging to all current and potential retail partners
  • Stay up-to-date on all current and soon to be released products
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key retailers
  • Visit customers' establishments regularly to generate or receive orders and ensure 100% customer satisfaction; update sales spreadsheet to track all activity (at least on a weekly basis)
  • Schedule and participate in tastings, promotions, and special events to engage customers, which may take place on weekends or after standard business hours
  • Act as a key conduit of information back to Sales and Production teams, including, but not limited to, pricing information and opportunities to grow the brand and increase the effectiveness of sales efforts; meet weekly with Sales and Production teams
  • Utilize Ekos Brewery Management Software to track all customer information, invoices and deliveries
  • Perform ongoing quality control of beer outside of brewery
  • Secure and maintain premium placement for all packaged products; restock and rotate stack to maintain first in / first out sales
  • Maintain and submit driving log and timely submit all mileage and expense reports
  • Make deliveries as necessary
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

This is a full-time position with a base plus commission compensation structure.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, college degree preferred
  • 2+ years of commission-related sales experience, with a strong preference for those with experience in the craft beer market
  • Experience selling adult beverages in a retail or wholesale environment
  • Strong knowledge of the local market for craft beer
  • Cicerone or beer education preferred
  • Experience with Ekos Brewery Management Software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Dedicated sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results with no excuses
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-Motivated, ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to manage time and priorities in an effective and efficient manner
  • Must be 21+ years old and have a valid NC driver's license and clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 lbs.
  • Ability to manipulate 165-lb. kegs with/without hand truck and transport 165-lb. kegs on a hand truck
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle to and from accounts continuously.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules (frequent travel, weekend and extended workdays are sometimes necessary)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
