The Project Safety Manager is a field position and reports directly to the Southwest Regional Safety Manager.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Manage the project safety disciplines
• Monitor day-to-day construction operations
• Job-site training
• Safety audits and daily briefings
• Assess risk management
• Investigate incidents
• Provide project safety statistics
• Assist Project Manager with project setups
• Collaborate with regional safety team and clients.

Experience, Education & Skills:

• Candidate will preferably have minimum 5 years’ experience
• OSHA and MSHA requirements in heavy civil construction safety
• Construction management experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in MS Word applications
• Possess ability to interact with all levels of employees, management, clients and agencies
• Mine Safety and Health Administration blue card holders preferred

Working Conditions:

• Travel – This project is located in Bagdad, Arizona. Subsequent projects will be nationally based.
• Construction Site Environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.
• Office Environment – extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
