Job Description:

Join our team in Janesville, WI as a Contract RN for our Behavioral Health unit. We are seeking an experienced RN who is passionate about providing excellent patient care and making a difference in the lives of those struggling with psychiatric issues. The candidate must have a current WI License and CPR certification. The RN must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Flu.

As an RN on our Behavioral Health unit, you will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. You will administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act. You will document according to standards of care and develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction. You will also participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Additionally, you will utilize your clinical expertise & guidance to other units/departments in support of the patients' longitudinal plan of care. You will utilize critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalate to the appropriate chain of command.

Schedule:

Week 1 - Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7pm-730am (36 hours guaranteed) Week 2 - Thursday, Friday 7pm-730am (24 hours guaranteed)

Qualifications:

Current WI RN license and CPR certification
Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Flu
1+ year of experience in psychiatric adolescent, psychiatric adult, and psychiatric geriatric patient care preferred
Must be comfortable working night shifts
