This is an opportunity to join a dynamic Company in a key role within the Corporate Controllership. We’re looking for an energetic, team player with a strong background gained in public accounting and/or corporate accounting role.
Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Lead a team of accountants and analysts with goal of analyzing and understanding various product/service offerings and related revenue streams to ensure proper revenue recognition
  • Liaise and effectively communicate with business leaders in Sales and Finance to communicate the most accurate revenue recognition considerations when drafting contracts
  • Communicate with and present findings / ideas / considerations to executive members of Accounting and Finance department, such as CAO and CFO.
  • Review customer contracts to ensure compliance with US GAAP and NCR accounting policies
  • Review documentation and analyses related to selected customer contracts during the quarter
  • Document position papers on new contract structures, including hybrid cloud arrangements and subscription accounting
  • Support business process to streamline invoicing and automating journal entries related to subscription-based contracts
  • Supervise the review and documentation of Standalone Selling Price for current product and service offerings
  • Facilitate communications and testing by our external auditors
  • Provide oversight, guidance and training on revenue recognition to various functional groups across the Company
  • Develop, maintain, and administer financial and operational policies to support strong internal controls
  • Support acquisition activity including pre-acquisition review of target revenue policies, calculation of purchase accounting entries related to revenue and integration support post-acquisition
Requirements
  • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Licensed CPA
  • 10+ years’ experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting environment
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP with experience on ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and the ability to apply relevant guidance to complex transactions
  • Well organized, detail-oriented team player with proven ability to multitask effectively and lead a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present accounting rules and guidance in non-technical terms for non-financial professionals
  • Knowledge of business systems and Microsoft Office applications
