Job Overview

Currently, we have a full time position open for a sales associate at 3 Sisters Embroidery, LLC. We are ultimately looking for someone with the ability to take on more responsibilities and grow into a salaried managerial role.

Our core team has been here for over 10 years and have grown with the company. We have a close knit and dedicated team. We are looking for a couple of people to grow with us and join us in our journey.

3 Sisters Embroidery, LLC is a full service NPHC Greek store and embroidery shop located in Durham, NC. We specialize in creating custom Greek and Masonic apparel, but also offer a wide variety of ready-made NPHC Greek items for gift and personal needs. The NPHC (National Pan-Hellenic Council) was founded in 1930 and is comprised of 9 historically African American sororities and fraternities.

Since 1998, our primary goal has been to assist customers in showing their organizational pride with top quality goods and services. We embroider on site and can offer same day service during the off season. Our customers include individuals, families and businesses. We are a small, niche market business and enjoy serving our community by providing embroidery, printing and promotional products. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Retail sales associates are responsible for all sales activities from greeting customers, answering questions, offering assistance, suggesting items, lending opinions, providing product information, processing payments, gift wrapping, taking and fulfilling orders in person, via phone and on the internet. They must demonstrate outstanding customer service and selling skills, keep the sales floor tidy and stocked with merchandise, perform inventory counts, receive and tag new stock, assist in the display and organization of merchandise on the sales floor and stock areas. They must assist in ensuring that all orders are completed correctly on time.

• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Proficient in verbal and written English language
• Knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate with customers, peers and management
• Telephone etiquette
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
• This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours. It may occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
