Summary:

The Lowe’s Sales Analyst / Category Manager will provide unbiased business performance insights to internal and external stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Lowe’s Merchants) to assist in directing business strategy. This position is an analytical role, data driven and heavy reporting work. This person will be experienced at gathering & integrating customer point-of-sale (POS), internal sales data, and relevant industry knowledge for the delivery of insights which can be directly translated into actionable recommendations. Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze and evaluate POS and internal sales and order trends; including promotional effectiveness and event impact
• Provide internal and external standard and ad-hoc reporting on key retail performance metrics
• Perform item-store level analysis, combing internal and external data sources, to support assortment, opportunity, and end-cap recommendations
• Key contributor to annual sales planning
• Collaborate with demand planning to improve forecast accuracy
• Monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics
• Develop and maintain analytic solutions using current and new data sources, tools, and methodologies

Education and Experience:

• Undergraduate degree BS/BA
• The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience working in category management, demand planning, business analytics, or a similar field
• Experience working at, or with, big-box home center/home improvement retailers; specific experience with Lowe’s is preferred
• Excel and PowerPoint super-user required; experience with Power BI and Power Query a plus
