General Summary: Assist in the administration of a program component; plan, coordinate and supervise the day-to-day activities. In conjunction with operations staff, responsible for the development and administration of certain housing programs. In addition, will be an educational resource to the community regarding housing needs of people with mental health issues.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day operation of programs.
  • Participate directly in program development, planning and growth.
  • Carry out terms of any contract in program and in setting goals. Including but not limited to BHDDH, CARF, Department of health
  • Monitor budget and MIS Reports for program in conjunction with CCO including planning and expending.
  • Provide documentation for funding sources as required.
  • Provide consultation and education to the community regarding issues of chemical dependency and mental health.
  • Provide mental health and chemical dependency consultation, education and training to agency personnel.
  • Collaborate with other providers, agencies and individuals in the clients' network of care.
  • Ensure that treatment planning and clinical record keeping are consistent with standards established by Thrive.
  • Provide regular supervision of program staff (including time sheets, performance evaluation).
  • Recruit, interview, screen, select, and orient/train program staff in conjunction with CCO.
  • Serve on committees as assigned, both external and internal.
  • Initiates budgetary recommendations and controls.
  • Maintains professional relationship with representatives in Thrive, public officials, community leaders and the general public.
  • Maintain and enhance Thrive’s culture of learning and growing by serving as a role model, mentor, facilitator, educator, and consultant to Thrive staff on program and service issues.

Requirements:

Education, Experience and Competencies:

Masters Degree in social work, psychology, counseling or equivalent preferred.

3 years Human Service experience

2 years supervisory/managerial experience required


Certifications, Licenses Requirements:

Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.
