Aicota Health Care Center is looking for a Registered Nurse to care for our residents. The RN is responsible for the provisions of nursing care to residents and is an advocate for them. The RN works under the supervision of the DON. They are responsible for providing professional nursing care consistent with the resident, facility, and department procedures. The RN is responsible for Wound Care, IV Therapy, Tube Feedings, and Disease Management. They will also provide supervision and direction to staff assigned to their units.

Education/Experience:

• Current Minnesota Nursing Licensure.
• Prior experience in a long-term care is beneficial, but not needed.
• Maintain a current CPR Certification (classes provided onsite).

Typical Job Duties:

• Assess the resident's health status & nursing needs
• Implement health care measures & deliver direct resident care or delegating care as appropriate
• Provide a safe, supportive environment by utilizing communication & adapting resident care to meet each residents needs
• Documentation of resident status, and response to nursing actions
• Organize & supervise care given by other nursing personnel
• Assisting nursing personnel to learn new care policies, procedures, & concepts of care
• Participate in the evaluation of therapeutic plans, & nursing care policies & procedures
• Responsible for assisting in the review of the total health care plan for residents, & making recommendations for change as needed
• Participating in establishing & evaluation of standards of nursing practice, quality assurance, & other auditing mechanisms

Shift Times and Scheduling:

The evening shift starts at 2pm and works until 10:30pm. There are two positions available, one is full time evenings, the other is a combination of working days and evenings. Aicota offers block scheduling for all team members.

This position is also open to LPN's, starting wage listed is based on RN wages.
