Regional Field Supervisor Job at QuanTech, Inc.
Seasonal, Part-Time.
May 20th through October 31st.
Roughly 15 to 20 hours per week.
Field Supervisors must be able to identify all fish species in their area and must score 100% on the fish identification exam given to new Interviewers. They must also have knowledge of all public access fishing sites in their area and be able to answer Interviewer questions regarding the site register, site locations, or strategies for interviewing at particular sites. Field Supervisors must also be able to answer any questions regarding interviewing procedures, coding of forms, and collection of data that Interviewers may have.
Besides providing interviewers with training as needed, Field Supervisors must perform the following general supervisory tasks:
- Coordinating assignment scheduling/rescheduling for Interviewers in your region in accordance with the 2019-2023 LPIS SOW and NMFS’ procedures for LPIS assignment prioritization;
- Conducting quality control (QC) field visits with Interviewers;
- Reviewing monthly interviewer performance measure reports and following-up with interviewers on any problems identified;
- Visiting “hostile” sites/vessels and attempting to remedy the situation;
- Providing updates to the information on the MSR; and
- Updating the HMS permit list with new information provided by Interviewers and NMFS.
- Visiting all sites on the Master Site Registry at least twice per season.
In addition to holding one local data review meeting with the Interviewers in your area, Field Supervisors are required to attend two data review meetings (one mid-season and one final).
