Regional Account Manager - Veteran Services Job at Cedar Springs Hospital
Regional Account Managers for Veterans Services represent all of the UHS facilities in the assigned region. Direction and supervision is provided by the Divisional Director, Military Programs. The following specific duties are required:
a) Represents the product line of Veterans Services and acts as the point of contact for referrals from key accounts on behalf of all UHS facilities in the assigned region.
b) Travels to VAMC’s and VA OP clinics as directed by leadership and meets with key stakeholders to discuss our products.
c) Acts as a conduit for communication between VA CCN Care Navigators, VAMC Social Workers and treating facility for all veteran treatment episodes.
d) Integrates into regional Veteran’s community organizations to educate on the COMPACT Act, Missions Act and UHS service offerings for both.
e) Assists in coordinating travel as requested by the VAMC or patient once the Veteran is accepted for treatment at the facility.
f) Conducts service recovery, as necessary with VA Staff, Veteran family members and VACCN case managers.
g) Creates brand trust with VACCN case managers to assure UHS locations are the provider of choice for all inpatient referrals within the CCN networks.
h) Continuously conducts needs assessment to ensure UHS is meeting the needs of Veteran’s and families.
i) Attends key meetings and conferences related to serving Veterans.
j) Actively collaborates with leadership at UHS facilities – current and future – to ensure best practices are being maintained.
k) Contributes to the development of a national database by entering all contacts into the database.
l) Works with business development and product to discover new locations for identification of new programs and services that can be developed based on customer need or gaps in services.
m) Collaborates closely with the National Call center via daily communication regarding incoming referrals, assistance to coordinate admissions for referrals and new sources requiring immediate follow up.
n) Provides ownership of development, execution and results of the strategic plan for Veteran growth across the division.
o) Leads the market/region strategic plan for increasing Veteran’s services with direct to Veteran business development activities.
Knowledge: Success in the position is dependent on the employee’s ability to easily access Veteran’s Affairs Locations, VISN leadership and staff therefore prior military experience is required.

Reports directly to the Divisional Patriot Support team, develops growth strategies for VA across the BH Division; specifically in the assigned Region.
Represents the full extent of the UHS adult service lines. Provides direct account management and marketing to key decision makers and referents and VA access points as assigned.
Identifies and develops new referral relationships – additive accounts to current known customers to UHS.
Assists facility-based business development staff on relationship development with key VA stakeholders as needed.
Actively identifies opportunities for new program and service line development with assigned installations.
Collaborates with other critical departments such as Product, Operations, Clinical and Development to assist in the growth strategy for the BH Division.
Provides referents with direct access for assistance in making referrals to the UHS assets across the assigned region and the U.S.
Accepts and coordinates referrals from accounts by collaborating with the facilities and the national call center to expedite the process.
Maintains regular communication with facility leadership regarding activity.
Assists as needed in training facility staff in the cultural and operational expectations for all Veteran referents.
Provides timely updated information related to staffing challenges at VAMC’s necessitating additional beds at UHS facilities for Veteran’s.
Represents UHS facilities via participation in National conferences and other industry meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned/required.
