Supervisor: Gymnastics Program Manager

Responsibilities: The Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District is hiring a position for a self-motivated and enthusiastic team player that can provide students with a diverse gymnastics experience in a safe, caring, fun environment. An energetic person with a playful personality is needed to teach recreational classes and competitive team-level gymnasts. Must have coaching experience with USAG boys JD or girls JD required and Xcel and be able to work with ages 2 & up; excellent public relations and communication skills for administrative and clerical duties; basic computer skills; be available during the workday, evenings, weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Available daytime, evenings, and weekends
  • Gymnastics and dance experience (training is available)
  • Experience teaching adults and youth
  • Lesson planning for recreational classes and competitive teams

Wage: 12-step salary scale: $27.17 to $37.62 per hour. Starting wage DOE.

Benefits: A complete benefits package for regular part-time employees (and their families), including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, basic life, and long-term disability insurance. Participation in the Washington State Public Employees Retirement System and eligible to contribute to the deferred compensation program. Six hours of vacation and six hours of sick leave each month, 12 hours of personal time (prorated if hired after the first of the year), and ten paid holidays (at six hours per day) throughout the calendar year. Discount on most Park District classes, free pool pass at the Aquatic Center, and basic fitness membership at the Bainbridge Island Recreation Center (BIRC) while employed for employees and dependents.
