JOB SUMMARY:
The Receptionist will provide guidance and administrative support to all facets of the local move department. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to field a high volume of incoming calls while providing excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibits a pleasant and welcoming demeanor both in person and on the phone.
  • Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls. Answers phones, and drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information.
  • Provides effective oral and written communication (via telephone, email, and mail).
  • Supervises the maintenance of office equipment, including computers, copier, fax machine, etc.
  • Responsible for the facilities day-to-day operations, including but not limited to typing, filing and scheduling.
  • Answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Works independently and coordinates division of workload with the office clerk.
  • Invoicing customers for all completed jobs in a timely manner
  • Dispatching drivers/road crews to the correct jobs
  • Following up on quotes and proposals for jobs in a timely manner
  • Supervises clerical and administrative personnel by communicating job expectations and appraising job results.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two years of prior administrative/office experience
  • Two years of Customer Service experience
  • 6 months of supervisory preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. unassisted
  • Repeating motions on a computer that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing

WORKING HOURS:

  • Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5 PM
