Summary:
The receiving clerk is responsible to receive, inspect, transact, record and deliver inbound shipments. The receiving clerk will maintain current training to receive and handle “Hazardous Materials and Dangerous Goods”. Must be forklift certified and be able to load and unload trucks. The receiving clerk is responsible for handling product safely, usage of typical measuring equipment, and recording data on required documents. Support preparation, packaging, documentation and shipping for outbound shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule inbound shipment delivery appointments.
- Receive, unload, sort, inspect, transact, and deliver incoming shipments. Assuring all orders and items are accurately accounted for per documentation received.
- Review and verify information for accuracy against purchase orders or invoices. Unpack and examine incoming shipments and reject damaged items
- Review supplier/vendor certificates for conformance and process internally for quality approval. Deliver received shipments to associates/departments as delegated.
- Inspect inbound shipments for damages or defects, record discrepancies and damages; notify supervisor or purchasing personnel in timely manner.
- Receive, prepare, process and ship orders related to RTV-Return to Vendor, RMA-Return Material Authorization, and OSP-Outside Service Processing.
- Process and verify orders through ship stations. Confirm orders with the shipping label information.
- Marks materials with identifying information. Records amount of material/product shipped/received for accurate inventory.
- Support preparation, packaging, documentation and shipping for outbound shipments.
- Follow company policies.
- Uses computer to enter records.
- Other duties, as assigned, by the Lead, Supervisor, or Production Manager
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- DMV printout for driving company van
- Use of Word/Excel
- Read and communicate in English
- Work well with others in a team building environment
- Work in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
- Keep the work area clean and organized, including the machines
- Identify area for process improvement, cost, and waste reduction
- Understanding the use of all appropriate safety guards
- Be able to lift the minimum of 35 pounds
- Must pass pre-employment drug and background investigation.

Salary: $26.00 to $28.48
