Reasons Eating Disorder Center (Reasons) is seeking candidate professionals, preferably with previous experience working with LGBTQIA+ communities, to provide compassionate care to our diverse patients in our residential treatment facilities located in beautiful, intimate six-bed houses in the Pasadena, San Marino and the Arcadia neighborhoods of the Los Angeles area, and our Reasons inpatient/partial hospitalization eating disorder programs at BHC Alhambra Hospital.
Job Description: The Art Therapist leads experiential groups at all sites, incorporating drawing, painting and other art forms with counseling and therapy, exploring feelings, conflicts and identity through art, supplementing and bolstering other forms of therapy our patients engage in. The Art Therapist works collaboratively with therapists, Registered Dietitians and nurses to provide relevant groups to patients in the milieu.

Minimum Requirement:
- Registration with the Art Therapy Credentials Board
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Requires a minimum of one (1) year art therapy experience. Experience in working with eating disorders patients is strongly preferred; however, education in the field may be accepted in lieu of experience.
