E.J. Basler Co is looking for a Quality Engineer for our Schiller Park, IL location. The position involves performing functions to analyze conditions found during production to determine root cause.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze nonconforming conditions in production to determine root cause.
• Communicate with process owners to resolve nonconforming conditions by developing or facilitating corrective and preventive actions.
• Summarize and report nonconformance information and evaluate trends and major causes.
• Summarize and report defect analyses, corrective actions, implementations status and effectiveness.
• Develop and document control plans which define verifications during production to ensure all state requirements are met.
• Develop and document inspection and verification procedures for use by department personnel.
• Developing and documenting PPAP paperwork.
• Ownership of corrective/preventative actions (i.e.-8-D’s, CAR’s)
• Develop production methods for new and existing work.
• Complete immersion in personal and business continuous improvement.
• Participate in APQP for new and existing work.
• Develop internal process control plans (EJIP) for new and existing work.
• Use advanced statistical knowledge for problem solving and data analysis.
• Plan and document studies of measurement repeatability and reproducibility; and process capability.
• Perform internal audits of the quality system and verification activities; and supplier audits as requested.
• Use inspection, measuring and test equipment as necessary.
• Participate in company quality improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (Master's preferred) in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing engineering.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
