Where are we?

Situated on the southern edge of the Lehigh Valley and easily accessible from northern Philadelphia suburbs and the surrounding areas, the Quakertown facility is our North American hub for the design and manufacturing of leading dental imaging devices and software. The facility has a growing, energetic, and diverse mix of professionals spanning engineering, operations, regulatory and quality backgrounds that work collaboratively in the fast-paced medical device field. POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Inspects and makes accept/reject decisions regarding each piece, part, or product.

  • Inspects incoming material using a variety of gauges and other precision measuring equipment.

  • Inspections include final product verification and checks to ensure all processes have been followed and all parts are included.

  • Inspections will also include a review and disposition decision of failed components or products returned from customers.

  • Basic Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering documents to learn the design of product and materials orientation.

  • Use available computer programs to document inspections (Master Control, SAP, PDM Works, Microsoft Excel)

  • Capable of confirming orders in SAP for sub-assemblies and equipment

  • Identifies and communicates existing and potential quality issues

  • Reviews and approves Device History Records before the final release of finished goods.

  • Performs other duties and assignments at the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager

Job Requirements:

Education and /or Experience:

  • Two year technical or Associate’s degree. Working Will accept a significant specialized background/experience in a quality inspection role (preferably in a medical device manufacturing environment or other regulated industry) as a substitute for a degree.

  • One year minimum hands-on experience using inspection gauges and test instruments, including manual or computer-controlled coordinate-measuring machines.

  • 1 One year working experience/knowledge of Incoming, In-Process, Final, and PPAP inspection processes.

  • One year of experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, and Master Control software is highly desired.


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift to 35 pounds, complete assisted lifts of 35-50 pounds, push or pull containers on pallet jacks, repetitive bending and stooping, and may require occasional lifting overhead.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

  • Knowledge of electronics and electronic components is highly desired.

  • Ability to perform layouts and first–article inspections.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical devices.

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
