Due to our continuing growth, Amphenol Alden has a need for talented individuals to strengthen our team. We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Compliance Engineer for our Quality Department. Position is at our Brockton, MA location.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide complete analysis of products for RoHS & REACH compliance in support of customer requests.
  • Work directly with Engineering and Purchasing organizations to update BOM information in the ERP system as needed.
  • Provide feedback to Design Engineering to drive product changes as required by regulatory directives.
  • Develop and maintain internal database of compliance status and all related documentation.
  • Maintain customer specific systems with relevant RoHS/REACH/CM data as required.
  • Provide complete analysis for all customer requests for compliance to Conflict Metals including part drawing review, supplier investigation/due diligence, and records maintenance.
  • Work with all departments to create PCNR for AAP PCN Board Review for customers.
  • Manage PCN Board Review and approval process.
  • Work with CRM, Marketing, and other departments as necessary to identify customers that require notification.
  • Create customer notifications and manage submittal and follow-up inquiries from customers.
  • Identify closure of PCN both customer specific and overall and provide information to engineering and manufacturing as part of the CR/CO process.
  • Track and PCNs for customer closure.
  • Track and Trend PCNs for review by management.

Skills/Qualifications Needed:

  • Working knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements, including RoHS, REACH, Conflict Metals.
  • Experience as an engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, AS91000, or ISO1348:16.
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, etc.
  • 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • BS degree in Engineering.
  • Ability to travel globally as needed to other AAP, supplier and customer locations.

Desired Skills:

  • Highly organized with excellent verbal and written skills, self-motivated.
  • Understanding of general manufacturing practices.
