The successful candidate for the position of Quality Inspector will possess the ability to support the activities listed below and be able to provide insights on how your past experiences contributed to connectivity with this role. This position is critical to the successful operation of the Devens Manufacturing Facility in that it contributes to a quality first culture in our pursuit toward a world-class operation.
Key accountabilities include:
- Performs incoming/outgoing inspections and makes appropriate notifications of inspection results as required.
- Completes validation of traveler and process documentation through quality inspection.
- Reviews and completes outgoing product documentation prior to packing and shipment.
- Maintains and reviews accuracy of Quality documentation.
- Maintains documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Ensures conformance to Watson-Marlow Quality Management System.
- Utilizes measuring instruments with accuracy and care.
- Performing inspections at random to assess product quality.
- Maintains incoming/outgoing inspection areas as required.
- Works closely with various production functional groups in support of the Quality Management System
- Reviews and verifies requirements for packaging and labeling.
- Assists in investigations as part of the non-conforming material management process to provide support toward root-cause and corrective action.
- Assist with EHS Program and Internal Auditing Program and conduct training as required
- Collects and Maintains data as directed to ensure effectiveness of Quality Management System
This is what you'll need to be successful in this role:
- Passion for continuous improvement and desire to learn
- Performing inspections at random to assess product quality.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, specifications.
- Strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with ISO standards and its application in the Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing environment
- Ability to properly use test and measurement equipment (i.e., calipers, micrometers, PI tape, coordinate measuring machine (CMM))
- Work overtime as required.
- Clean room experience is a bonus although not essential
