Quality Assurance Engineer Job at PMG Global
Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Quality assurance engineer will work with business analysts and program developers with functional and test automation services to ensure that new and enhanced applications will satisfy business requirements of the electronic commerce group.
Responsibilities
- Test internet software used by active and technical traders using leading edge investment strategies
- Write formal test plans
- Participate in team reviews of business requirements and application designs
- Design Structured test cases using system modeling techniques
- Develop test scripts and data for automated scripts
- Execute manual and automated test scripts to perform functional, integration and system testing
- Document, maintain and monitor software problem reports
- Provide project metrics for software product defects and test progress
- Recommend strategies and methods to improve test plans and test process
Qualifications
- Familiarity with software development life cycle
- Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with business and systems personnel
- Solid analytical skills
- Understanding of manual and automated testing concepts
- B.S. or B.A. degree or applicable work experience
- 3 years testing experience
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance methods and practices
- Strong Technical writing ability
- Ability to work in a team environment
