Monday- Friday, 2nd and 3rd Shift Available

This client is a manufacturing company based in Fairmont, MN; they are an innovator in animal nutrition. The company is dedicated to the research, development and manufacturing of quality premixes, pre-starters, starters and concentrates together with specialty products and solutions. Their principal objective is to develop strong relationships with customers, suppliers, managers and staff while creating value with every interaction. The Quality Control Support position will work closely with our Quality Assurance, Supply-Chain and Production Teams in monitoring and in the enhancement of company quality assurance and production programs. This individual will participate in proactive quality steps required for products that are purchased, manufactured and distributed. The Quality Control Support will assist in the coordination and implementation of the Quality Management System, as well as conduct activities in accordance with facility HACCP and FSQS Safe Feed Safe Food Programs. This position is based out of the Fairmont, MN, Plant and will be fully engaged in the day-to-day operations of the production, quality, and supply-chain aspects of our business. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Administrator and Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

• • Ensure HACCP & Safe Feed / Safe Food requirements are implemented and followed as part of the Quality Team.
  • Coordinate QA sampling schedule and testing.
  • Conduct internal analytical procedures.
  • Log, analyze, and maintain laboratory results in reporting database.
  • Verify facility daily drug usage reconciles and other medicated feed cGMP documentation.
  • Conduct routine GMP facility audits in a timely manner.
  • Perform quality system processes with plant operations.
  • Collect and archive product retain samples.
  • Support plant administrative activities.
  
  

Requirements:

• • 2-5 years’ experience in a quality related position. Knowledge of quality systems and HACCP in the Food or Feed industry is preferred, but not required. A.S. degree in science related field such as biology, chemistry, or animal science is a plus. Will train a qualified candidate.
  • Must have mathematical skills, good organizational skills, an attention to detail, and a good attendance record.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and strong interpersonal relationship building, with the ability to communicate to various groups.
  • This position requires walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time. The position requires working in environments at varying temperatures and noise levels. This position requires the ability to lift 50 lb.
