Job Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day QA/Wastewater laboratory. Assist department Manager in plant safety programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Quality and research development testing.
- Maintain all laboratory paperwork.
- Maintain Hold and Segregate Program.
- Maintain Sample Program.
- Maintain Lab Master Sanitation.
- Maintain Lab Safety Schedule.
- Wastewater testing and associated paperwork.
- Assist Environmental/Maintenance Manager on SMR.
- Sent out water testing to ASI Monthly.
- Maintain Production paperwork.
- Maintain reliability of all lab equipment.
- Maintain records for lab temp and calibration records.
- Backup to Safety/QA Manager.
- Be part of HACCP team.
- Conduct HACCP audits.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all lab functions.
- Strictly follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in Continuous Improvement activities.
- Be active member of the Safety Pillar CI team.
- Assist department manager in managing plant Safety programs.
- Order parts and supplies.
- Other duties as management deems necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have Strong computer skills. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Must have previous Lab experience.
- Prefer previous experience in processing and spray-drying.
- Must be able to re-sample finished products and ingredients as needed.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Is able to follow as well as give instructions.
- Has neat, clean personal appearance.
- Must have the ability to learn all functions and processes required.
- Require initiative, honesty and integrity.
- Must work well with people.
- Have the ability to think and draw natural conclusions.
- Has the ability to make decisions at the appropriate time.
- Has the ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Uses time wisely.
- Works well within a team.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
