Position Summary:

The QA Data Analyst will be responsible for accomplishing audits, performing data entry and root cause analysis in support of a Part 135 Air Carrier’s CASS program. Provides support in accomplishing trend analysis and system auditing used to verify the performance and effectiveness of the Part 135 Air Carrier’s maintenance program. The analyst will also be accountable for CASS database management as well as providing assistance in the continual improvement of CASS systems and manuals.


The estimated time allocations for these assignments are 40-45% performing analysis, 25-30% performing and involvement with auditing functions (Internal of Jet Aviation and Outside), and 20-25% performing data entry duties.

Main Responsibilities:

— Conducts audits, research, investigations and planning while working alongside other personnel internal and external of Jet Aviation Flight Services.


— Perform detailed, in-depth root cause analysis for CASS entries including development of corrective action plans.


— Request data and technical support from subject matter experts in the performance of root cause analysis of reliability action items when required.


— Continuously audit and monitor data set points as established within company documentation to identify critical trends related to aircraft reliability, maintenance programs and personnel.


— Compile, organize, and analyze all maintenance and operational data being collected on a continual basis regarding safety events and audit findings.


— Responsible for accomplishing quarterly IEP audits, system data entry, preliminary and trend analysis and risk assessment in support of the CASS program.


— Participate in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) audits to include developing a strong professional relationship with FAA assigned inspectors.


— Manage system aircraft, personnel and vendor databases while providing profile registrations for access to our CASS program as necessary.


— Responsible for data entry, tracking and recording actions and milestones associated with the CASS system.


— Complies with internal company policies and procedures outlined within the General Maintenance Manual (GMM), or any company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) document.


— Interface with aircraft Computerized Maintenance Tracking Program (CMTP) and analysts.


— Assists in administering regulatory requirements associated with FAA Advisory Circular (AC) 120-79A (CASS) and 00-58B (VDRP) programs.


— Proactively provide suggestions, recommendations and assistance to the CASS Manager for process improvements development and implementation.


— Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network


— Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

— 2-4 years years’ experience in a related field


— Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and take initiative in problem solving


— Knowledge of business software applications such as Microsoft Office product is preferred.


— Experience with QuickBase, Point, Avianis and Computerized Maintenance Tracking programs is desired.


— Experience in quality standards, analytics or statistics preferred


— Strong Communications skills and service orientation

Desired Characteristics:

— Airframe and Powerplant license, Civil or Military Aviation background preferred


— Job-relevant experience, ie. vocational training, technical apprenticeship, equivalent work experience or two (2) years of college


— Periodic overtime may be required to meet the department and company mission


— Team effort approach, attention to detail and strong organizational skills are necessary


— Strong collaboration skills and team orientation


— Strong project management experience


— Solid ability to instruct, train, and knowledge


— Excellent organizational skills

Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
