Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is seeking a PRN / Casual Purchasing Clerk. This position is responsible for the unloading, inspection, verification and distribution of materials that have been purchased by the facility. Oversees the storage of storeroom materials and distribution of all stock and non-stock items. This position also has Par Level Cart System responsibilities.

Essential Functions:

Receives and delivers supplies to appropriate departments.

Verifies that deliveries correspond exactly to the specifications indicated on the Purchase Order.

Inspects delivered materials to verify quantity and quality correspond with Packing Slip.

Coordinates the store function, including the requisitioning of needed supplies, incoming supplies and materials control.

Appropriately stores, protects, and stock shelves with supplies.

Assist in the management and control of inventories of supplies in order to meet the usage requirements of the hospital.

Responsible for Hospital’s Par Level Cart system, including inventory control, product rotation and charging of supplies.

Restocks Par Level Carts with appropriate supplies.

Verifies outdates on all materials/supplies in the storeroom area and Par Level Carts.

Performs data entry in the computer system for supplies received, matching the Packing Slip with the Purchase Order.

Verifies quantities, order numbers and any other pertinent vendor information from Packing Slip to Purchase Order.

Job Requirements:

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Required Skills

Previous related Storeroom/Receiving experience preferred
