GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB DUTIES
The PT Lab Assistant I position for the Summer Camp (Arts) Services Corporation is located on the Central Campus in the Parr Art Building. The Lab Assistant I will assist in art activities. The successful candidate will assist Summer Experience Camp Instructors with classroom activities and technology and must be available June 13- July13, 2023. The hours and days may vary in between. There are no camps the week of July 4th. The work schedule is 4-8 hours day and 20- 29 hours per week.

General Function:
Assists with coordination of laboratory activities to support instructional programs. Assists summer camp instructors during classroom instruction. Facilitates camp sign-in/sign-out and maintains student files.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists with camp activities.
2. Assists with monitoring students in a lab setting; identify and respond to unruly behavior
3. Assists in preparation of facility for classes and helps keep work areas are clean and neat; helps
distribute materials and handouts.
4. Maintain accurate record of data such as attendance logs and student files
5. Keep track of camper dietary restrictions and allergies and ensure proper snacks are distributed to each camper
6. Report any notable concerns or incidents to Lab Instructor, then Assistant Director respectively.
7. Monitors students in a classroom setting
8. Additional duties as assigned by the Lab Instructor and Assistant Director
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
HS School Diploma or GED; competence in a Windows environment
At least 18 years of age
Knowledge. Skills. Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
Experience in education or in the content areas of technology or arts
Ability to work well with individuals with diverse backgrounds in K-12 summer camp setting
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary for this position is $15.00. Classification type is Classified. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours, evening and weekend assignments may be required of any position. All positions are subject to budget approval.
