What Will you Do?
As a Psychological Consultation Center Manager at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. Represents organization to organizational constituencies, health care institutions, governmental agencies, regulatory agencies, the community, and other external publics on a limited basis. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible to uphold the healing ministry of Christ through relationships that honor integrity, stewardship, empowerment, the promotion of diversity, and professional excellence. Communicates and models mission to the clinic staff.
- Responsible for the overall management of the clinic’s daily operations to provide the best patient care, achieve quality improvement, fiscal productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Leads department customer service initiatives.
- Implements strategic and operational plans for clinic flowing out of ORS organizational and regional plans.
- May serve as a member of various committees to participate in division-wide discussions.
- Functions as a change agent by appropriately challenging current processes, policies and procedures. Seeks to incorporate new technologies and methods to improve overall effectiveness. Exemplifies a strong, positive attitude during times of crisis and uncertainty.
- Monitors and reports annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly goals to encourage progress within the clinic.
- Provides technical expertise to coach a multidisciplinary team in the areas of organizational quality and performance improvement. Ensures the necessary data and tools are available to team members and staff to work through actual and potential barriers to improvement.
- Utilizes department/operating unit structure to achieve goals and strategies, making changes when necessary for better efficiency and to further develop core competencies of the clinic.
- Ensures that staff members’ training is kept current. May train and/or coordinate the training of new staff or existing staff on certain applications, procedures, or policies.
- Practices stewardship when developing and adhering to departmental budgets.
- Plans department activities within the framework of performance improvement initiatives. Documents the plans, projects, progress, results, and related issues of these activities.
- Holds assigned staff accountable for the accomplishment of strategies, plans, and budgets.
- Clearly communicates expectations, requirements, results, and issues to staff and provides clarification of key policies.
- Develops procedures and monitors them for improved performance.
- Serves as a role model and mentor for staff to encourage their personal and professional development and successful accomplishment of program goals and strategies.
- Gives and solicits feedback from staff to ensure a high quality of service and positive staff relations.
- Must maintain annual training and demonstrate competency in the required programmatic training.
- Performs other duties or functions as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Doctoral degree in clinical psychology required with a strong assessment background.
- Five or more years of clinical experience.
- Three to five years of progressively more responsible work experience in management preferred.
