Responsibilities
The Project Policy Analyst 4 acts as a project manager for the California Collaborative Network to Promote Data Driven Care and Improve Outcomes in Early Psychosis (EPI-CAL). The primary purpose of this project is to conduct a statewide evaluation of established early psychosis programs (large scale services research) and implement mobile health technologies within clinical settings to enhance care and outcomes data collection within early psychosis clinics. The Project Policy Analyst manages development and implementation of eHealth technology to promote data collection across EPI-CAL.
The Project Policy Analyst collaborates with faculty, administrators, clinical teams, county staff, and contractors to design and implement eHealth technology for EPI-CAL. The Analyst is responsible for determining and communicating project priorities, timelines, goals, and objectives to the wider team. This position involves facilitating communication and collaboration between multiple departments at UC Davis, other UC campuses, contractors, sponsors, counties, and early psychosis programs. The Analyst manages creation and dissemination of materials for training, including web management, video production, and event planning. The Analyst also contributes to preparing Deliverables, including task delegation, documentation and compliance, data collection and management, analysis, and report writing. Assists with drafting analyses and recommendations for abstracts, manuscripts, reports and presentations to be submitted to funding agencies, peer-reviewed journals, professional organizations, and other non-profit and government organizations. Collaborates closely with other project staff to integrate the eHealth technology into existing Early Psychosis Clinics, and work closely with UCD Health faculty and administration.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in the areas of psychology, public health, communication, or related field required; advanced degree preferred OR at least 2 years of experience as a Project Manager; e-health- or e-mental-health related project management

Prior experience developing and testing eHealth technology for use in community settings

Prior experience working as part of a Coordinated Specialty Care Early Psychosis program to support development and deployment of data collection tools in that clinical environment

Prior experience in human subjects research coordination (recruitment, gathering informed consent, participant testing), preferably with adolescents and young adults (ages 12-15) who are experiencing psychosis

Prior experience collecting, coding, and analyzing qualitative data (focus groups, qualitative interviews)

Demonstrated project management and leadership skills necessary to design, implement and monitor complex projects

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and influence, both verbally and in writing

Demonstrated analytical skills

Advanced knowledge with project management applications such as YouTrack, Microsoft planner, Trello, Slack

Demonstrated experience using data management, statistical analysis, or data visualization software

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to travel to partner sites for on-site meetings and training sessions
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with communities which have been historically marginalized

Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services

Bilingual language skills to facilitate the ability to engage diverse communities and community partners

Understanding of DSM-V, semi-structured clinic interview methods to gather psychological data, and psychosocial stressors related to psychiatric conditions

Several years of experience in the required qualifications of human subject research and analyzing related data

Advanced degree in the areas of psychology, public health, communication, or related field
