Framatome is seeking a talented Project Application Engineer to join our instrumentation and control (I&C) engineering team.

Are you interested in joining our dynamic team of I&C Engineers who implement software and hardware solutions? Our team utilizes Triconex PLC, Foxboro DCS, Aveva InTouch, and other platforms to solve complex problems.

The I&C project engineering team designs, implements and tests control system solutions for our nuclear customers in existing and new plant applications. In this position you will be part of a team of engineers working on projects performing a variety of exciting tasks. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop control system architecture solutions for nuclear power plant applications
• Design process control solutions using various system platforms and configurators such as Triconex, Foxboro DCS, and Wonderware/Aveva
• Prepare detailed application, system, and hardware specifications based on project requirements
• Develop software design documents, requirement documentation, and test specifications
• Solve a range of straightforward problems, analyze solutions, and assess each using standard procedures
• Ensure compliance with government, organization, and customer engineering standards
• Participate in plant site work - start-up and commissioning
• Physical Requirements:
• Operate computer on a continual basis and communicate with various levels of the organization.
• Good Eyesight (with or without glasses)

Travel: Up to 25%

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity:

• BS in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Eng’g/Eng’g Tech. or equivalent plus 2-3 years of engineering experience. An advanced degree may be substituted for related exp. (MS 1-2 yrs. or PhD 1-3 yrs.). In applicable states a PE license will be accepted in lieu of a 4 yr engineering degree

The following may be used to differentiate candidates who apply for this position:

• Process control and industrial control system experience
• Previous experience in the nuclear power industry
• Knowledge of Triconex, Foxboro DCS and/or Wonderware/Aveva
• Experience with standard industry communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, etc).
• Familiarity with process instrumentation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships with all levels of staff and management
• Familiarity with networking concept
• Good problem identification and problem resolution skills

Our total rewards package

The range of base salary for the position is between $77,000 - $101,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
