The University of South Alabama’s Center for Strategic Health Innovation – College of Medicine is seeking to hire a Medical Informatics Programmer Analyst II. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Prepares and presents research utilizing business intelligence software to create charts, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Maintains proficiency in coding languages and analysis tools to include SQL, Excel, Access, Tableau, and Python.
  • Assists in developing application modifications to enhance functionality.
  • Creates and updates documentation for applications and may provide training to users on new or changed processes.
  • Works with clients to assess data requirements and develops scripts and software applications to support data management, data extraction and data analysis.
  • Documents process flow and update documentation when required.
  • Maintains and enhances existing systems.
  • Resolves software bugs, identifies ways to improve system performance, and develops new requested functionality.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime is required.
  • Related duties as required.
