Position Summary

The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

This Program Coordinator will work under the indirect supervision of the Program Operations Manager overseeing home visiting implementations which are part of the Early Childhood Home and Family Services Division at the CDD. This position will provide coordination activities for evidence-based Home-Visiting Prevention implementations, including UNM CDD Parents as Teachers and Nurse-Family Partnership.

Duties include providing direct support to multiple program leads, and overall coordination of all programs' compliance, documentation, data collection and analysis to demonstrate effective program outcomes. This position requires someone who both takes initiative and works as a team player. You will interface with program managers and program direct service staff to support them with administrative duties and program efficiency. The individual may also supervise or direct lower graded staff and/or student employees.

This Program Coordinator will:

  • interface UNM's Early Childhood Service Center database team to ensure accurate and reliable outcome data is collected, entered, accessed and analyzed in compliance with state and federal mandates for the programs.
  • oversee and develop efficient processes for several mandated data systems.
  • work closely with program managers to support contract compliance and will assist in the development and preparation of reports for funders.
  • work directly with program line staff to ensure consistency and compliance with program mandates for documentation, timely entry of notes and required documentation.
  • complete audits for program leads and generate processes and reports to ensure staff productivity and compliance is tracked and maintained.
  • oversee the handling of confidential client documentation, monitor entering of client information into New Mexico Home Visitation database and Nurse-Family Partnership national database.
  • be proficient in completing data audits and developing reporting for program managers and contract funders as needed.
  • organize and interface with Group Connections, program Graduations and other ad hoc meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.


Preferred Qualifications

High level of knowledge of MS Office Suite

Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively interface with diverse program constituents and partner agencies.

Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI regulations.

Experience

  • organizing meetings and events;
  • developing processes for data collection, analysis and reporting in support of documenting program efficacy and outcomes;
  • coordinating administrative and data functions for a home-visiting, early childhood or other direct service programs;
  • working with data systems in direct service or related programs.
