Position Production Worker - Meat Packer
Location- Blasdell NY 14219
Pay Rate – $18.00 per hour
Shift- Monday – Friday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (or later)
overtime will be common

Job description/Position Summary:

• Responsible for packing / repacking meat products.
• Assembles, lines, and pads cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools; cleans containers, materials, supplies, or work area using cleaning solutions and hand tools
• Measures, weighs, and counts products and material
• Examines and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met
• Loads materials and meat products into package processing equipment
• Marks and labels containers, container tags, or products using marking tools
• Obtains, moves, and sorts products, materials, containers, and orders using hand tools; places and/or pours products or materials into containers using hand tools and equipment, or fills containers from spouts or chutes
• Records product, packaging and order information on specified forms and records
• Removes completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas.

Seals containers or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails, and hand tools.

Required

• Ability to stand/walk for a complete shift.
• Able to with stand temperatures of 36 to 40 Degree's for an extended period
• Must where warn cloths and closed toe shoes.
• No jewelry allowed except for a wedding band if it doesn't have any stones.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• High School education or equivalent
