Job Title: Production Technician
Location: Round Lake Park, IL
Pay rate: $20.00-$25.00
Shift/Schedule:
  • 1st Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday through Friday
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00pm-1:00am Monday through Thursday
Overview
  • Our client is seeking additional roles for a “Production compounder” to add to the existing team. Our compounders are specialists whose primary goal is to study a bill of materials, accurately mix ingredients and guide them into the “work in process” stage. To do so, compounders must follow current procedures and good manufacturing practices, package completed batches, and communicate their progress with management. You will support the fragrance manufacturing process alongside production staff, purchasing, logistics. Production compounders report to the production manager.
Job Duties
  • Work with production team to manufacture orders for Shipment.
  • Work to maximize individual workspace efficiencies.
  • Complete daily assigned workload.
  • Submit finished retains for completed batches to QC.
  • Work to maximize efficiencies and general production utilization.
  • Work with purchasing to coordinate delivery dates for raw materials and packaging materials.
  • Conduct applicable duties for department co-workers in their absence, or during overtime hours.
  • Comply with all safety and SOP procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Environment
  • Majority of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
  • PPE required as determined by company safety standards: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes
Job Requirement
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years relevant experience in production control and production planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language.
  • Vocalize and explain detailed data and problem-solve, both in-person and by telephone Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Production/Planning skills: Knowledge of Good manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Deadline oriented.
  • IT skills - Proficiency in using common PC applications
  • Excellent ability to work with others.
  • Must be able to lift 30-lbs onto waist high shelves
  • Must be able to lift and carry a min of 25lbs.
