Hardee Fresh is an indoor organic vegetable production facility located in an approximately 50,000 sq. Ft. building on a 9-acre parcel of land in Hardee County, Florida. The company’s product offering includes a wide range of leafy green vegetables and microgreens. Role and Responsibilities: Responsibilities of the Production Planner will include coordinating the production workflow for multiple products, assisting in the planning and prioritization of operations to ensure maximum performance, and assisting in the determination of manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand. The Production Planner will also be responsible for scheduling the sowing of correct quantities to meet forecasted demand by product, and in the allotted timeframe. The Production Planner will also be responsible for all aspects of inventory including tracking, identifying needed products, and ordering. The Production Planner must gain a deep understanding of the capacity and constraints of the current Hardee Fresh facility and future facilities currently under design and construction. The Production Planner would be expected to coordinate regularly with the operations team including the Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor, Compliance Specialist, etc., as well as the sales team on forecasting and product availability inquires. The optimum Production Planner will be expected to be able to work independently as well as part of a larger team and be self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in real time

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated, ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Effective time-management and ability to multi-task
  • Effective communication skills, ability to read/write English, bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Effective mathematical/ statistical skills
  • Ability to learn and absorb new technologies
  • Computer proficient (e-mail, Microsoft Office suite of programs, ERP systems)
  • Must be able to maintain accurate inventory counts
  • Experience with crew/personnel management preferably in an agricultural operation
  • Must have a heightened level of attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prepare and present reports (status, performance, summaries, etc.)
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have flexible work schedule, ability to work weekends or off-hours as needed
