Associate will rotate through a variety of machine and hand assembly jobs. The Production Operator is required to ensure that all Safety, Quality, and CI goals are reached. The headquarters of MechoSystems, which employs over 500 people worldwide, is located in Long Island City, N.Y., with manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and the U.K. We currently have an opportunity for a experienced Production Operators at our Manufacturing Facility in Edison, NJ. Opportunities are available on the First shift. First shift standard schedule is M-F 5:30am-2:00pm with overtime the pushing the start time back to 4am. There is also Frequent Saturday work during our busy season.

Job Duties
- Reading and understanding work orders
- Making tickets and doing ticket transfers on Vision IS
- Identifying quality flaws and bringing it to the lead's attention
- Working with automatic screwdrivers, riveters and sonic welders
- Packaging and using small scales, including lifting boxes and using pallet jack
- Manual assembly of small parts using presses and hand held tools
- Work on moving assembly lines such as auto-bagger or doboy to bag parts
- Keep work areas clean and neat
- Keep count of your production and record all counts accurately for each job
- Meet production goals for each day on each job
- Must rotate through all jobs
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 months manufacturing experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able the work on your own or as a team member
- Must be quality and safety conscious
- Must be able to work all overtime as needed
- Be flexible in job assignments
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to meet job productivity expectations
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently
- Must be able to sit or stand for a ten hour shift
- Must be able to push, pull, reach, bend and work overhead
- Must be able to wear all required PPE
- Must have strong hand/eye coordination
