San Juan Island Distillery and Westcott Bay Ciderworks is a small, local/family owned business located near Roche Harbor on San Juan Island. The Ciderworks has been in operation since 1999, the 2nd oldest in the state and makes award-winning hard apple cider. In 2011, we opened San Juan Island Distillery, expanding the business to include hard spirits (brandies, vodka, gin, liqueurs, vermouth & pommeau). Our focus is on using locally foraged ingredients to make delicious things and sharing them with our community. We want people to enjoy and remember their time with us.

San Juan Island Distillery seeks to hire a Production and Sales Associate, which we anticipate to be about 15 hours a week. The associate will work closely with the owners, with responsibilities across a range of tasks. These include cidermaking (picking, pressing, fermenting, tank management), distilling, bottling, foraging, sales, facility management (cleaning, organizing), greeting, educating and pouring for visitors, tracking inventory, and supervising hourly weekend employees, among others. This role involves some manual labor (must be able to lift ~50lbs) for production work. For sales, a uniform will be provided.

Hours are as follows:

· Required – Saturdays, 12-4 (year round)

· Required – Sundays, 12-4 (Summer only)

· Flexible – 6-8 hours during the week, as needed based on task list.

This role has the potential to expand to increased hours and additional responsibility depending on interest and capability.

Preferred Experience (not required, this is an entry level position):

· Customer service (of any kind)

Hourly Rate: $25
