Production Accountant Job at DeLallo
The Production Accountant will be located in a food production facility and will be responsible for gathering, calculating, entering, and reviewing production data on a daily basis. The Production Accountant will also be responsible for inventory control, including physical inventory counts.
Essential Functions:
- Gathering production data from supervisors and utilizing that data to create production batches for costing purposes.
- Reviewing production batches for accuracy and entering them into the system.
- Allocating direct labor to items produced on a daily basis.
- Reconciling materials used to finished goods produced on a daily basis.
- Investigating variances to explain results and validate the accuracy of information.
- Supporting production managers by providing data relevant to the operation upon request.
- Maintaining an accurate inventory system in both count and location of items.
- Strictly adhering to all safety and food safety regulations applicable to the facility.
- Assisting with the preparation of routine and ad hoc reports.
- Assisting with cycle counts and biannual physical inventory counts.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Degree in Accounting or related field preferred, 2 years of experience required.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Detailed oriented and high level of organization required.
- Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft products required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work at a fast pace, prioritize work and meet deadlines
